It was an home coming yesterday, Wednesday February 7, 2024 for Mr Ubong Edem who officially returned to the Peoples’ Democratic Party(PDP) from the Young Progressives Congress (YPP).

At the welcome party held at Ntak Inyang Council Hall, Itu Local Government Area, the ward Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ward 10, Mr Enwongo Dennis and his EXCO  who officially received Mr Ubong Edem and his followers back to the PDP, hinted that, the umbrella which is the symbol of the party is big enough to accommodate everyone, called on the people of the area to support Pastor Umo Eno’s led administration to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

Also speaking, the Chairman on the occasion who double  as the Honorable Special Adviser to the Governor on Creative Industry, Prince Idongesit Ituen, applauded the Peoples’  Democratic Party for creating sustainable opportunities for Akwa Ibomites.

Ituen, also commended the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno for uniting the state and embarking on life touching projects within his few months in office, said, the Governor has redefined leadership.

Others who spoke including,  Prince Ebong Archibong Okon and Special Assistant to the Governor on Transport, Mr Idongesit Samuel appreciated  Governor Umo Eno for his determination  to leave Akwa Ibom state better than he met, solicits sons and daughters of Itu to  support the administration.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Ubong Edem acknowledged his exciting days at the Young Progressives Congress ( YPP), said , his days at his former political party were blissful, hinted that , Pastor Umo Eno’s developmental strides within his few months in office which indicates better days for the state, informed his decision to return to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) .

Mr Edem, who returned to the PDP with over one hundred people from the Young Progressives Congress (YPP) in his ward, reaffirmed his commitment to Pastor Umo Eno’s led administration, sue for cooperation from all and sundry, stressing that, the time for governance is now.

Meanwhile, earlier today on his facebook page, Mr Ubong Edem appreciated the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,  Hon Frank Achibong, Deputy Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Kufreabasi Edidem, Hon. Idongesit Ituen, among others for their support.

‘’ Yesterday I was received back to the PDP family by my ward chairman, all thanks to the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,  Hon. Frank Archibong, the Deputy Speaker AKHA, Rt. Hon. Kufreabasi  Edidem, Hon.Idongesit Ituen, Ebong Archibong Okon (Kiwi)  Idongesit Samuel and his dear wife ,to mention but a few and to all my teeming supporters who decamped with me, God bless you all.

I believe PUE’s led administration will carry everyone along cause he’s a man of God.
