The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on University Education, Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, has cautioned newlyweds against allowing third-party interference in their marriages.

Speaking at the wedding reception of former Miss Peace Itohowo Ekpe and Brother Franklin Francis in Ulok Ulok Hall, Ibeno on Sunday 8 June.

Etteh emphasized that marriages thrive when issues are resolved between the couple without external interference.

“Marriage is between you and your spouse, and introducing third parties can lead to its downfall,” he warned.

The lawmaker acknowledged that no marriage is perfect and that challenges are inevitable, but stressed that couples who resolve their issues internally tend to build stronger relationships.

Etteh congratulated the newlyweds and their families, wishing the couple a happy and fulfilling married life.
