Annang Union Foundation Inaugurates Maiden Executive

A 16-member executive has been inaugurated to handle the affairs of Àduk Annang Development Foundation, AADF, (popularly called Annang Union) for the next three years.
It has Adede Nsikak Affia, a seasoned Engineer and Fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, FNSE, as president with Adede Nsima Ekanem and Adada Inimfon Udom as deputy president I and II respectively.
Adede Adaha Etuk is the secretary-general, Adede Lawrence Etukudoh, treasurer, Adede Saviour Udoma, assistant secretary, Adede Emmanuel Ekanem, ex-officio 1 and Adede Donatus Abara, ex-officio II.
Others sworn-in are: Adede Imoh Umoh, public relations officer; Adede Anthony Udonsa, legal adviser I; Adede Uduak Ibah, Legal adviser II.
Adada Christiana Okure, financial secretary; Adada Ekaette Thompson Isaiah, welfare officer; Adede Friday Idung, auditor; Adede Datti Ekpoudom, organising secretary and
Adede Emmanuel Inyang, provost.
The commissioner for oath, Akanaono Umoh Esq., administered the oath of allegiance to the newly sworn-in executive and advised them to discharge their duties according to the oath they had sworn to.
The chairman on the occasion, Dr Godwin Benson, congratulated the newly sworn-in executive for electing to serve and appealed to them to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their individual and collective responsibilities.
Benson, who is also the Group News Editor of The Pioneer Group of Newspapers, said it was commendable for likeminds to come together in unity and work to change the circumstances of their people and environment for the better.
The president of the organization, Affia, said they were happy to be inaugurated as leaders of the body, which had been in existence for the past two years.
He stated that within the period of its existence, the body has been officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja, attracted dividends of democracy and employment opportunities from companies and agencies to its members.
Affia, who is also the vice chairman of Ethnic Nationalities Youth Forum in the South South, appreciated the managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Dr Samuel Ogbuku and the director of projects in the commission, Dr Victor Antai for recognizing and carrying the body along in all their programmes.
He identified with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision to develop the country and appealed that he gives premium to the development of the Niger Delta region as the goose that lays the golden eggs in the country.
The Annang Union leader also lauded the Senate President, Chief Godswill Akpabio, for effective leadership of the National Assembly, empowerment of the youth and embarking on various projects and programmes that would alleviate the suffering of people of the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District.
He commended the Akwa Ibom governor, Pastor Umo Eno for the unity mantra he has pioneered in the state, saying this has brought relative peace.
Goodwill messages were received from many individuals and groups within and outside the Senatorial District.
