The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs has expressed readiness to collaborate with the Bella Amor Global Aid Foundation in the implementation of its forthcoming “Mo Feed Akwa Ibom Project,” a humanitarian outreach aimed at addressing food insecurity and advancing social development across the State.

The Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Princess Emem Ibanga, gave the assurance on Monday, February 16, 2026, while receiving a delegation from the Foundation during a courtesy visit to her office at the ministry’s conference room.

Welcoming the delegation, Princess Ibanga commended the Foundation for its commitment to humanitarian and social impact initiatives. She reiterated that the ministry operates a structured and inclusive framework for the distribution of interventions, ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective delivery of relief materials and support programmes to targeted beneficiaries.

The Commissioner further noted that Governor Umo Eno assumed office with a clearly defined development blueprint anchored on grassroots engagement. She described his leadership approach as “bottom-to-top,” emphasizing that the appointment of Ward Personal Assistants (PAs) across all Local Government Areas, first of its kind, has significantly strengthened coordination and enhanced last-mile delivery of government interventions.

Assuring the Foundation of the ministry’s support, Princess Ibanga stated that appropriate coordination mechanisms would be activated to ensure the seamless and impactful execution of the outreach across the State.

Earlier, the President of the Foundation, Amb. Mirabel Etuk, explained that the visit was to formally notify the Ministry of the planned humanitarian outreach. She described the “Mo Feed Akwa Ibom Project” as a comprehensive intervention designed to combat food insecurity, promote community wellbeing, support skill acquisition programmes, and distribute essential educational materials to school children across the three senatorial districts of the State.

Amb. Etuk further disclosed that the outreach would be implemented in partnership with the Corporate Social Responsibility Unit of the Nigeria Customs Service, stressing that collaboration with the ministry is critical to ensuring coordination, inclusiveness, and impactful service delivery.

The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs. Eno Akpan; the Director of Logistics, Obong-Unwana James Udoma; and other officials were present at the meeting.
