In a remarkable display of gratitude and admiration, the Executive Chairman of Itu Local Government Area, Prince Ubong  Nkutt, has commended the Member representing Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ime Okon, for sponsoring a four-day free medical and surgical outreach in Itu/Ibiono Ibom federal constituency which he described as exceptional  and life-changing  medical outreach.

Speaking at the Primary Health Center, Mbak Atai, Itu Local Government Area on Wednesday, Prince Nkutt praised Rt. Hon. Okon for his effective representation and numerous life-touching projects across the two local government areas.

“Rt. Hon. Ime Okon has brought joy to our community. The PDP has given us a federal representative who has exceeded our expectations. In just twenty months in the National Assembly, we have witnessed his remarkable contributions to our constituency’’.

“Today, many who could not afford medical care have benefited from this program”.

The council Boss reaffirmed their unwavering support for the lawmaker, acknowledging his dedication to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people and transforming lives.

“We are truly impressed, may God bless our lawmaker. This initiative has  demonstrate  his commitment to the well-being of his constituents and shows that governance is fundamentally about caring for the people”.

Addressing the gathering at Mbak Atai, Rt. Hon. Ime Okon, the sponsor of the free medical outreach and member representing Itu/Ibiono Ibom federal constituency, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Itu for their continuous and overwhelming support.

The federal lawmaker who said the free medical outreach, which ran from March 11 to 14, 2025, aimed to provide essential healthcare services to his constituents declared immediately after he flagged off the free medical outreach at Palmer Memorial Hospital, Ikot Usen, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area.

He emphasized that the four days free medical outreach is his pattern of giving back to the society in demonstration of   his commitment to the well-being and health of his people, he reiterated his promise to deliver quality representation to the people.

Beneficiaries including Elder Akan Sylvester and Princess Aniema Uboh expressed appreciation to the federal lawmaker for addressing their health challenges, thanked him for his kindness, generosity, and selfless service to the community.

 They also promised their unalloyed support and loyalty to the lawmaker beyond 2027, as a testament to his tireless efforts to improve their lives and bring hope and healing to those in need.
