CLERGY URGES EDUCATORS TO UPHOLD DIVINE  MANDATE

As part of efforts to strengthen and encourage Christian teachers, The Apostolic Church, Uyo Field Sunday School Movement, had her 2026 One-Day Teachers’ Prayer Conference, highlighting the crucial role of Christian teachers in fulfilling divine purpose.

The conference, which held on Saturday February 7th, 2026, at The Apostolic Church, Four Towns Area Headquarters, Uyo, featured the theme: “Achieving Divine Purpose Amid End time  Challenges,” drawn from 2 Timothy 4: 1 – 5.

The event featured exhortations, prayer sessions, testimonies, theme renditions, interactive sessions, discussions, and question-and-answer segments aimed at equipping and strengthening teachers spiritually to withstand contemporary challenges.

Speaking at the event, the Uyo Field Sunday School Leader, Pastor E. E. Daniel, expressed gratitude to God for the success of the conference and commended members of the planning committee for their dedication and hard work.

Delivering a teaching session, Pastor Essang emphasized that Christian teachers are called to serve as ministers of God, ambassadors of Christ and agents of societal transformation especially in the face of prevailing socio-economic challenges. He noted that the Divine calling aligns with Biblical directives that portray teaching as a sacred vocation designed to fulfill God’s purpose.

The clergy outlined key responsibilities of Christian teachers, including soul winning, nurturing believers toward spiritual growth and maturity. This also entails fostering discipleship, transmitting sound biblical doctrine and glorifying God through instructions.

He further stressed that for Christian teachers in the 21st century to succeed, they must deepen their personal relationship with Christ and rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit for wisdom and direction. He added that Christian teachers can only fulfill their Divine Mandate in these end-times through diligence and resilience.

The conference climaxed with a special prayer session led by Elder Egele, E. and the inauguration of the 2026 Uyo Field Sunday School Rally Planning Committee  fostering unity and renewed spiritual commitment among participants.
