Former Chairmen Applauds Asuakak Umoh’s Impact on Grassroots Development

Forum of Former Elected Council Chairmen in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State has commended the executive chairman of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Asuakak Umoh, for promoting peace, empowering the youths and improving rural development in the area.
Speaking on Wednesday at the inaugural meeting of forum in Uyo, the Chairman, Rt Hon Godwin Ekpo commended Rt Hon Asuakak for effective leadership driven by passion for service to humanity.

They described the performance of the current administration led by Umoh as leadership committed to grassroots development, community unity and affirmed their continuous support to his administration.
The former chairmen who served between 1999 to 2022 noted that, the council boss has carried the youths, women, men and children along in his administration through empowerment programmes aimed at reducing, poverty, unemployment and improving livelihoods.
Noted that, young people in the area have benefited from different support initiatives introduced by the present administration.
The forum of former elected chairmen also applauded the council Boss for paying attention to rural markets and community projects, stressing that, the improvements in market infrastructure and local economic activities are helping both traders and residents in different parts of the local government and urged the chairman to sustain the pace of development and continue to work for peace and progress in Ibiono Ibom.
Present at the meeting were Hon. Ekopimo Polycarp Edet, Hon. Marcus James Okuku, Pastor J.A. Udoh, Hon. Eyo Utit, Hon. Ekom-Abasi Akpan and Hon. Andy Jackson Udofia .
