FCE Ididep Announces Third Session Admission, Woos Applicants

The Federal College of Education, FCE, Ididep, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, has announced that admission for its third academic session is currently ongoing and has called on prospective students to apply.

The announcement was made on Friday, September 25, 2026, when the Head of Information and Public Relations Unit of the college, Mr Nkurumah Bankong, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Akwa Ibom State Council, at the NUJ Press Centre, Information Drive, Uyo.
Bankong said the visit was aimed at establishing a cordial and sustainable partnership with the NUJ for effective dissemination of the college’s programmes, activities, achievements and admission opportunities.

He said the media remains a critical partner in societal development and expressed optimism that with the support of the NUJ, the institution would soar higher and reach more prospective applicants across the state and beyond.
He disclosed that the Provost of the college, Dr Wilson Udofia, who assumed office in August 2026, is working assiduously to reposition the college and actualize its vision of training quality teachers.

“It is incumbent on the college to properly train students and teachers who will in turn train our children even those yet unborn. The third session admission is ongoing. We call on students and teachers to take advantage of this opportunity as the college is in a hurry to ensure that proper knowledge is acquired by all from a proper source,” he stated.
Bankong commended the NUJ under Comrade Nsibiet John for its vibrant media engagements that have positively enlightened the public.
In his response, the NUJ Chairman, Comrade Nsibiet John, represented by Vice Chairman, Comrade Margaret Moore, lauded the college for its commitment to teacher education and pledged the union’s readiness to partner the institution for the betterment of the state.
