Ikot Ekang were no match for Ikot Obio Atai as they fell 2-0 to the Urua Ekpa Boys.
They certainly did not go down without a fight as Ikot Ekang right winger gave Ikot Obio Atai left back tough time with dazzling movements and quality crosses into the area.
It was great to see the former Member Representing Itu State Constituency, Hon Idongesit Ituen who came to watch the game.
The former MP, now the SA to the Governor on Creative Industry, watched on as his village Ikot Ekang were beaten.
Speaking to newsmen, the former lawmaker promised to attend all Ikot Ekang matches.
He also promised to support the media department of WIFA while charging them to be effective in projecting the tournament.
Remember that the sport-loving politician was always at the stadium to support Itu during the Governor’s Cup.
