Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Petroleum Products Monitoring Committee (PPMC), Hon Godwin Ekpo, has canvassed for synergy with 2 subsidiaries of Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company Ltd. (SEEPCO) for quality service delivery.

Hon Ekpo, who said collaborating with the two subsidiaries, Natural Oilfield Services Limited handling the OML13 Project and Ibom Developers Free Zone Economy Handling the SPFL Projects in Akwa Ibom will curb illegality in products supplied to the company, hinted yesterday during a familiarization meeting with the management of Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company Ltd. (SEEPCO) in Uyo.
He appreciated them for exploring potentials in the state, seek their partnership in curbing adulterated petroleum products menace.
Ekpo, who outlined availability of quality petroleum products as one of their core mandates, reaffirmed the committee’s commitment in ensuring normalcy returns to the sector.

Hon. Ekpo, noted patronizing local content as key to peace and stability, advised Sterling Global to adhere to the memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the company and the host community, appealed for employment of indigenes in the facility.
Responding, Col. Shrot (Rtd), General Manager Ibom Developers Free Zone Economy (SPFL) appreciated the committee for the interface, affirmed their readiness to partner the committee in checkmating excesses in the petroleum products supplied to the company.

Shrot (Rtd), however, noted the concerns of the committee in the aspect of employing and engaging indigenous contractors in their operations, said, 90% of their workforce are Akwa Ibomites, promised to engage more indigenous companies .
