A socio-political organization, ÉEKPEDE Initiative, established to sustain economic progress through unity, enlightenment and responsible leadership has thrown its weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, for a second term in office and beyond 2027.
Addressing a press conference earlier today at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre, Uyo, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ÉEKPEDE Initiative, Adede Kufre Inima, said the aim of the socio political group is to promote the leadership ideals and visions of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno, whom he applauded for leading with empathy , people-oriented and development-driven .
The BOT Chairman who cited the leaders’ effective representation and democratic governance as reasons for their declaration to support good governance for peaceful coexistence , hinted that, the group’s decision was borne out of necessity to promote unity, continuity and renewed hope in Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria at large.
Adede Inima further added that, the group is committed to sustaining the current developmental path in both the state and the nation through mobilizing grassroots support for the trio’s reelection in the 2027 by sensitizing the youths on the developmental strides of the leaders, voter enlightenment and grassroots mobilization to ensure massive participation in the forth coming election as they have delivered dividends of democracy to the people.
To solidify their support, ÉEKPEDE Initiative also unveiled plans for a week-long activities, from November 9th–16th, 2025 with a dedication Service at The Apostolic Church, Uruk Uso, to Food Carnival, fuel distribution, outreach to orphanages and hospitals, novelty football match between Ikot Ekpene Urban and Amayam, unity walk and gala/award night at four Points by Sheraton, Ikot Ekpene and climax with thanksgiving Service at Methodist Church, Ikot Obong Edong respectively.
The group further added that their planned program is to rally support for the leaders and ensure a smooth continuity of good governance.
