In a bold move to deepen grassroots engagement and deliver direct dividends of democracy, the Leader of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and Member representing Nsit Ubium State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Otobong E. Bob, PhD, is set to host a Constituency Briefing and Empowerment Programme.

The people-centered event will hold on Friday, October 9, 2026, at the Nsit Ubium Local Government Secretariat Ground, Ikot Edibon, by 10:00 a.m., bringing governance closer to the people at the grassroots.

Beyond the legislative briefing, the high point of the gathering will be a massive empowerment initiative targeted at boosting livelihoods, supporting small businesses, and strengthening families across the ten wards of Nsit Ubium.

According to the lawmaker, the programme is designed to give constituents a first-hand account of his stewardship, legislative interventions and achievements at the Assembly, while also listening to their needs and aspirations for inclusive development.

Rt. Hon. Bob therefore extended an open invitation to all constituents, stakeholders, women and youth groups to turn out en masse, as the event promises to be a direct interface between the people and their representative in the spirit of grassroots empowerment.
