The Candidate of the Aftrican Democratic Congress ( ADC) for Uyo Senatorial District Princess Victoria Ibokette has reiterated her readiness to give quality representation to the people if elected in the fourth coming election.

Princess Ibokette who said she is well positioned with the capacity to change the narrative in leadership, disclosed her intentions Tuesday at the NUJ press center, Uyo during the February meeting of the Nigeria Association Of Women Journalists ( NAWOJ).

Ibokette intimated Nawojians that, poor representation and hardship informed her decision to via for the position, and maintained that with her capacity and connection both locally and internationally, she will bring the due of Uyo Senatorial District home.

” God said I should go and speak for the women, a few years ago, I attended an event in Abuja, it was a gathering for women, the attendees were all billionaires, but there was no single Akwa Ibom name on the list, I am hungry to see Akwa Ibom women make impact at the National Assembly “.

“They are grants for women, but no one to bring them home for us, the widows are going through so much without care, women and children are really suffering in Akwa Ibom State based on my interaction with those in the village “.

She further added that, her dream at the National Assembly is for women empowerment and legislative laws that will benefit the Men, Women, Elderly and children in the Senatorial District, posited that, if elected, she will redefine the future.

She however advised women to add value to themselves by updating their mindset and consciousness, announced that, God created women differently with potentials to make impact.

“God made women differently, we are potential Chief Executive Officers ( CEOs ) with streams of businesses”.

” We are powerful beings ,we must not take ourselves for granted.
This is our opportunity to redefine tomorrow, let our mindset and consciousness be updated to deal with challenges ahead”.

Speaking earlier, the Campaign Manager of Princess Ibokette campaign organization, Dr Saviour Ekpe appreciated AK-NAWOJ for receiving them, hinted that, her candidate is well positioned with capacity to represent Uyo Senatorial District at the National Assembly.

Dr Ekpe while describing her candidate as a peaceful and conservative woman , said , she has empowered across board over the years ,from business support, bought Jamb forms for about 300 students yearly through her NGO amongst others.

He also called on the people of Uyo Senatorial District to support her aspiration as she is the best, well connected to give the needed representation.

In her vote of thanks, the Chairman of The Nigeria Association Of Women Journalists, Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Nsikak Okon thanked Princess Victoria Ibokette for the familiarity visit to the association.

Represented by her Vice Chairman, Comrade Udeme Hosea , she commended the ADC Candidate for preaching messages of peace, love and unity , said Akwa Ibom women will update for a better tomorrow, wished her well as she continue with her campaigns .
