ESSIEN UDIM LAWMAKER MOURNS OBONGANWAN GLORIA USEH, IKOT EKPENE FIRST FEMALE CHAIRMAN

Member representing Essien Udim State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly on Friday joined other dignitaries at the funeral of the late Obonganwan Gloria Iniobong Useh, former first female Chairman of Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area.
The service, held at Amanyam, Ikot Ekpene, was conducted by The Apostolic Church Nigeria and attracted prominent political and community leaders, who gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of the late public servant.

Among those in attendance were the representative of the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON and member representing Ikot Ekpene Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Dr Patrick Umoh.
In a condolence message delivered to the son of the deceased, Mr. Ubon I. Useh, the Essien Udim lawmaker described the late Obonganwan Useh as a woman of exceptional service, leadership and impact.
He noted that she made history as the first female Chairman of Ikot Ekpene Local Government and distinguished herself as a public servant, political leader and Legislative Aide to the President of the Senate.
The lawmaker prayed God to grant the bereaved family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss, while asking for the peaceful repose of her soul.
